Jim’s Body Shop Inc. has been in business since the 1960s. Our company was started by Jim and Jean Keedy in Anne Arundel County. Jim had a passion for restoring old dinged up vehicles and returning them to their former glory. Thus, Jim’s Body Shop Inc. was born.

Jim Keedy – who now employs his son, Jim Keedy Jr, and granddaughter, Whitney, at the Body Shop – doesn’t believe it when people say you shouldn’t get your family involved in your business. His motto is “There’s no reason in the world you can’t get along with your family”. Since our family business has been providing the best in auto body repair services in and around Pasadena for decades, we believe it’s safe to say he’s right!
As a young man, Jim Keedy tried his hand at auto mechanics at his Uncle’s auto shop, but soon learned his interest was not in mechanical repairs, but in body work. Instead of working under the hood on vehicles, he enjoys sanding and painting them. He always says “body work seemed to come easy”. Jim has owned more than 20 classic street rods that he has personally restored, so you can trust his experience. Jim’s Body Shop Inc. guarantees their work for as long as the owner possesses the vehicles and we have a loyal customer base because of of our personal connection to our customers.
Jim has been proud to pass on his skills and passion for auto repair and restoration to his family. While our founder is looking forward to retiring someday and leaving the business in the capable hands of his son, Jim Keedy Jr., it is doubtful that Jim will be able to stay too far away from the business, even in retirement.
